PRIVATE ACTING TUITION
 
One cannot learn the craft of acting alone.  However, there are many situations where actors may benefit from the dedicated attention of a one-to-one tutorial.
 
Imagine a three-hour class with 10 students: assuming there is no homework or notes to be given, this would equate to around 18 minutes per student. Of course, the student will spend some of this time actually performing, so the actual dedicated instruction could be around 10-15 minutes at an absolute maximum. If the scene involves more than one actor, then you can reduce this time. If the teacher has any class notes or homework to explain to students, this is reduced further.
 
It is easy to see then, that while the classroom is the most appropriate teaching situation due to the nature of the craft, it also makes it impossible to devote sufficient individual attention to the problems of any one actor and forces a general and concise approach.
 
In a private session, a student receives individual and dedicated attention for a predetermined amount of time. Therefore, each session can be tailored to the individuals’ needs and covered in far greater detail.
