Claire Ferdinando

Claire Ferdinando began her career in 1990 when she trained at The Acting Studio, Manchester. She began working at The Acting Studio as an acting tutor after graduating as well as pursuing her career as an actor.

In 1992 Claire founded The Box Office Theatre Company and filled the role of Artistic Director.  During her time with Company, Claire gained experience in Writing, Directing, Producing, Acting, Set & Lighting Design, and Marketing & Publicity.

Later Claire became involved with Eastern Eye Films and her interests moved from Stage to Celluloid.  Within a few years she had gained experience as Director, Producer and Writer for both dramatic and corporate film.  Since then Claire has also worked as an actors agent, casting director, adviser, editor and script analyst.

Although gaining experience in many areas of the industry, Claire has continued to teach throughout her career, both at The Acting Studio and through her own workshops and courses, in particular concentrating on acting for camera.  Claire's varied experience has put her in the unusual position of understanding the role and demands of the actor from many different perspectives enabling her to give uniquely rounded and informed advice on many aspects of the craft.  She currently still works actively in the roles of actor, writer, script analyst, director, casting director, and coach.

In addition to teaching in a class situation, Claire began in 2004, after many requests, to provide private coaching on a one-to-one basis and was invited to coach young actors for a professional television production company for a new childrens television series.
