WHAT IS - IN CLOSE UP?
'In Close Up' is the collective term for a series of courses and
services provided by Claire Ferdinando, acting
coach, and describes the detailed and in-depth nature of her work.
Claire Ferdinando has been teaching actors since 1991 both stage
and camera technique as well as gaining a wide variety of experience in several
areas of the industry, giving her a unique insight into the various
requirements, techniques, demands and problems facing the actor both in terms of
performance and industry expectations.
Since that time, Claire has served as senior tutor on the
professional acting course for adults provided by The Acting Studio,
Manchester, teaching acting and performance technique. Claire has also
devised several workshops and short courses for actors that she runs
independently covering such topics as: acting for camera, auditions, and
performance.
With the current market meaning more and more actors'
professional career will be employed on camera, In Close Up now offer acting classes aimed at the modern actor who wishes to
learn the craft of acting with a view to acting on camera.

recently, on personal request, Claire began offering a private tutoring service on a one-to-one basis where
actors can get in-depth and personal help with everything from audition pieces
to performance improvement and career advice.For Film, Television and Commercial projects, Claire offers a bespoke professional coaching service providing on-set
or preproduction training or devising specialised courses at your
convenience. Claire can provide training at her own premises or travel to
your location anywhere in the UK.
Claire has worked with industry professionals including Andy
Devine (Shadrach, Emmerdale), and Roxanne Pallett (Jo Stiles, Emmerdale) and
Owen Carey-Jones (Carey Films).
